The founding of the Alumni Association of IIT (BHU) Varanasi is a vital step towards advancing the vision of the institute through mutually propitious interactions among the institute, alumni, students, and alumni chapters. The vibrant and animated alumni network will work towards achieving the shared goals by strengthening the ties between the alumni and the institute, and by transformatively engaging students for a leap into prominence.

I extend my best wishes to the alumni association office bearers and hope the association will go a long way in achieving its goals.

It is a matter of great joy and satisfaction that we now finally have an alumni association based in our institute itself. This will further strengthen the alumni – student bond. It will also lead to a new chapter of alumni, faculty and students working together to make IIT (BHU) among the best Engineering Schools in the world.

We have a 5000 year old tradition of “Gurudakshina” – many alumni will surely want to contribute and payback to their Alma Mater in every way possible.

A journey that began with BENCO alongside the vision of producing competent technocrats for a future independent India has now covered a significant distance, with IIT (BHU) possessing one of the largest alumni networks in the country. Our 100-year-old alumni network is one of the prominent reasons behind our ever-consistent legacy. By achieving excellence in their ambitious and diverse ventures, our alumni have solidified their stature along with their Alma Mater in their respective professional fields.

It is a matter of great honour to witness the formation of Alumni Association of IIT (BHU), Varanasi having its office in the Institute itself. It will undoubtedly play a vital role in future alumni-institute interactions and provide crucial assistance in supervising various pertinent institute activities. We congratulate everyone involved in the making of this historical association and hope that more and more members of the student and alumni fraternity share their enthusiasm for the fulfilment of Mahamana’s vision for our Institute.

Registration of Alumni association in Varanasi with in the campus of IIT(BHU) is an important milestone.

This fulfills the felt needs of thousands of alumni spread all over the world. The response of alumni to this event is very positive and in fact euphoric.

The alumni centre located within the campus will enable close interaction between alumni, faculty and students of this 100 year old institution of national importance.
